Chippy Nonstop brings Pep Rally to New York for a rooftop takeover at Superior Ingredients on June 28 alongside Nene H, Bobby Beethoven, Karim Olen Ash, DJ Miss Parker, and Sterling Juan Diaz. Founded in Toronto by Chippy Nonstop and Karim Olen Ash, Pep Rally started as a DIY party built to center queer, Black, and brown communities while creating space for freedom across both sound and identity. Over the years, it has grown from underground warehouse roots into an internationally recognized event series known for its open format, anything goes musical direction, and community first atmosphere. That same spirit runs through Chippy Nonstop’s career. Raised between the UAE, Zambia, Canada, and the United States, her sound reflects years spent moving through different cultures, rave scenes, and online music communities. Her sets pull from across electronic music without locking into one category, combining styles in a way that feels instinctive rather than calculated. Beyond DJing and production, Chippy has spent years building platforms outside the booth. She co founded Intersessions, a workshop series focused on supporting underrepresented artists in music, helped launch Sojourn Festival in Toronto, and recently expanded Pep Rally into a record label focused on emerging artists from Canada and beyond. Pep Rally events are known as much for the crowd as the music itself. The series has built a reputation for creating spaces where people can fully express themselves while discovering artists and sounds outside the expected. That energy arrives in Brooklyn for a full day on the roof, bringing together a lineup that reflects the wide reaching sound and community that continue to define Pep Rally.
