About
Saturday, May 16th we’re opening every corner of the house for a night built on movement and zero standing still. In CARGO, the night unfolds in waves. From 10PM–12AM, Ultra Violet comes in hot with a sound shaped by the Bronx and the cultural sprawl of New York City itself. Her sets are bold, nostalgic, and charged pulling from house, dembow, disco, and left-field club cuts. A monthly resident at House of Yes and a familiar presence on major stages like Bonnaroo and Glitterbox, Ultra Violet brings festival-level intensity into the club: sharp instincts, fearless transitions, and an undeniable connection to the dance floor. 12AM–2AM, Hot Honey Sundays’ own Deo’Jorge takes control with a high-energy blend of indie dance, baile funk, house, and percussive global sounds that keep the room locked in and moving. Closing the night from 2AM–3:30AM, Corazon de Melon takes CARGO deep into the late-night hours with soulful, genre-blurring sets rooted in house, disco, Latin rhythm, and deep groove-driven club music. The Brooklyn-based Dominican DJ, producer, and remixer has become a staple across New York’s underground, Beyond the booth, he’s also the founder of Bits of Corazon a growing label and party platform spotlighting local artists, edits, and community-driven dance music culture. He's also released music on theBasement Discos and Anxiety Therapy. Up front in the Foyer, Smurfoudirty celebrates a birthday session alongside Raphael Ernesto and Alea Cosme for a night rooted deep in New York dance music lineage. Colombian DJ and producer Alea Cosme brings a Paris-based perspective to the room, blending soulful house, warm grooves, and genre-crossing selections that move effortlessly between intimacy and dance floor energy. Born and raised in NYC, Smurfoudirty comes from serious musical bloodlin, son of legendary funk guitarist and arranger Dennis “Menace” Weeden, whose credits include France Joli, Taana Gardner, Gwen McRae, and Secret Weapon, and grandson of Detroit jazz legend Terry Pollard. After nearly 15 years behind the decks across New York and internationally in Greece, his sets move effortlessly through disco, funk, hip hop, and house with the kind of instinct that only comes from growing up surrounded by music culture. Joining him is Brooklyn-born house veteran Raphael Ernesto, whose musical DNA is deeply rooted in New York’s house and disco tradition. With over 30 years connected to NYC’s rave underground, Raphael has played everywhere from Space Ibiza alongside Carl Cox to clubs and festivals across more than 20 countries, while continuing to shape Brooklyn nightlife through his work booking at Ponyboy.
