Dark n' Groovy explores cutting-edge, ultra-dancey sounds rarely heard in the city. (For the genre-minded: dark tech-house, psy-techno, dark/deep minimal techno, and some late-night psytrance.) We’re bringing together a lineup of local selectors with a deep connection to this sound, alongside a community that’s there to bust a move. If you've been searching for a comfortable space where it's all about the music, you'll find your people here. Our intimate loft venue is outfitted with crystal-clear sound, outdoor breathing room, and plenty of space to settle in. Minimal distractions on the dancefloor, a gentle haze, and a hundred friends locked into the groove. Chillosophy, the night's curator, has been organizing psychedelic dance events in Brooklyn since 2022. Dark n' Groovy is the successor to Trip Sittin', their first dance event series. As co-founder of Liminal Collective, Chillosophy has helped cultivate a community centered around underground dance music, immersive atmosphere, and long-form nights built for dancers.
