Gray Area brings Gennaro Filisdeo (formerly Blackchild) to The Roof at Superior Ingredients on May 31, leading a Sunday rooftop lineup alongside Cristina Lazic, Jay De Lys, Mikayla Wolf, and Motum. Running from 2PM–10PM, the event takes place at the Williamsburg venue’s open-air rooftop with direct views across the East River toward Manhattan. Filisdeo first emerged from Ischia in the Gulf of Naples, where early exposure to hip-hop, R&B, disco, and house shaped his musical direction. After beginning to produce at 18, he gained support from established DJs and later joined Solid Grooves, expanding his presence with releases on labels including Cuttin’ Headz, Mindshake, and Hot Creations. His productions have charted on Beatport while his touring schedule has taken him through clubs and festivals such as Printworks London, Parklife, Kappa FuturFestival, and Hï Ibiza. The lineup also features Cristina Lazic, the Italy-born, London-raised DJ whose work has appeared on Crosstown Rebels and Moxy Muzik, alongside performances at Hï Ibiza, Exit Festival, KOKO London, Get Lost, and SunWaves. Jay De Lys joins from Argentina, bringing a catalogue spanning Saved Records, Repopulate Mars, Kaluki, Deeperfect, Sony, and Stereo Productions, with support from artists within the Music On circuit. Local selectors Mikayla Wolf and Motum round out the bill for a Sunday session that moves from daytime into evening above Williamsburg.
