Pride weekend begins on Thursday here at Signal with a party put together by one of NYC’s sexiest design houses, LUAR. Founded by Raul Lopez, co-founder of Hood by Air, the link to the queer underground is strong, so we know we’re in good hands. Holding the night down is queer culturist, Afrofuturist, sonic-shapeshifter, multidisciplinary icon on NYC nightlife Juliana Huxtable. Her reputation as one of the most exciting and thought provoking artists on the global precedes her, and that’s enough. NYC’s Sterling Juan Diaz, returns to the house to deliver what promises another bold, percussive-toned set, where he’ll fuse jacking grooves and high-gloss selections in a dizzying performance. Chicago underground mainstay and enigmatic DJ/Producer/”antidisciplinarian" MORENXXX comes in with force. His sound engulfs a sonic range from blisteringly-fast percussion and ethereal intensity, for something that is deeply perplexing and mesmerizing.
