Nice people and good dance music, every first Thursday at Mothership. We feature extended sets from talented local DJs who you normally only see humbly supporting headliners or in stacked weeknight lineups—letting them share their unique sound on the dance floor. This month, we're featuring the one and only Amatric, bringing his signature blend of house, acid, EBM, Italo and electroclash to the Mothership dance floor. Amatric grew up in Italy, spent a few years in France, and shaped his music taste attending music events in Europe. After moving to California, he started DJ-ing and playing local events in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he co-founded the Space Disco, Planet Synth, and Zero To Justice parties. His selections bridge the synth hooks of Italo with the moody textures of Wave and the driving grit of Dark Disco. Resident Justyn Myers on the warmup. Come dance with us!
