Sound of Sweat is a guided sound experience brought to life in partnership with Kia Islam, a Brooklyn-based multidisciplinary artist, yoga teacher, and meditation instructor. Rooted in devotional practice and the healing arts, Kia's work sits at the intersection of movement, culture, and sound. ✩ WHAT TO EXPECT ✩ Sound of Sweat brings Kia's work into the sauna: 20-minute sessions of live sonic medicine woven through rounds of heat and cold. An evening designed to slow you down, connect you to your senses, and ground you in the serene beauty of the elements. All in a community garden in the heart of the East Village. ✩ WHAT TO BRING ✩ Swimsuit Towel Water-friendly footwear ✩ CHANGING ROOMS ✩ Private changing pods will be available, along with shelves to store your belongings. We recommend arriving with your swimsuit already on. ✩ SAFER SPACE ✩ All bodies, all genders, all sizes. Consent and care are non-negotiable. No harassment, hate, or aggressive behavior. No alcohol. ✩ ACCESSIBILITY ✩ Ground-level outdoor garden with mixed paving and soil. Seating available in and near the sauna.
